Research shows that Emotional Intelligence plays a critical role in effective leadership, but the question remains: How quickly, and effectively, can leaders that lack it, develop it? Our study provides valuable insights on enhancing critical competencies.

While recent research has shown the importance of Emotional Intelligence as a crucial component of leadership, a big question remains: How quickly and effectively can leaders who lack key EI competencies develop them?

The following brief discusses the results from a Hay Group initiative, in which teams of Brazilian and American executives attended workshops on Emotional Intelligence and were later tested for improvement in their own EI skills.

The study reveals that managers and executives can effectively enhance critical competencies though a combination of workshops and ongoing personal development.
