Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the ability to manage emotions (yours and those of others). It is critical to the success of all kinds of interactions - at work, at home and at play. It introduces players to the concept of emotional intelligence, and allows them the opportunity to test their own level of EI. The flexible game design allows facilitators to choose from an array of options regarding how the game will play out. You can...
- use the card decks to test players knowledge of the EI concepts, and/or to challenge them to pick the most emotionally intelligent responses to real life situations.
- use the full game board, so you can really bring these concepts to life for workshop participants.
- customize the game for your workshop, by following one of the 'theme' designs such as 'right of appeal' (allows people who land on an Amygdala Hijack to appeal their sentence, 'lose equals win' (makes the object of the game to lose) and so on.
The Emotional Intelligence Game is a great follow-up activity for participants who have been assessed with the Emotional Competency Inventory (ECI), the Emotional Competency Inventory - University Edition (ECI-U), or as an addition to any workshop/session that focuses on Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, or Relationship Management.
4 to 6 players are recommended per game. Each set includes 1 gameboard, 6 game pieces, 50 red cards (challenge questions) and 100 blue cards (life situation questions).
