Peter ChristiePeter Christie, Managing Director, Middle East
Peter leads the Middle East business for Hay Group, overseeing client engagements throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Peter’s background is in executive reward, reward strategy and performance management and he has extensive experience in advising organisations on these issues. He specialises in working with Boards of Directors to address senior executive reward and to align reward spend with key performance indicators. He has worked extensively in the financial services sector and with wealth funds and frequently advises on the alignment of reward to risk. In his leadership role, Peter is responsible for the profitable development of Hay Group across the region and the attraction, retention and engagement of talented employees.

Peter has over 23 years consulting experience, gained initially with Towers Perrin and subsequently with Ernst and Young and Watson Wyatt before joining Hay Group in 2005. Prior to entering consultancy, Peter was the Global Head of Reward for a leading UK corporate and investment bank. He holds a BA Honours degree in Business Studies, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and a Member of World at Work. He has had several papers and articles published and he regularly appears in the media to comment on human resource matters.

Mark Williams Mark Williams, Director of Expertise, Middle East
Mark is a shareholder in Hay Group, based in the Dubai office. He worked as a consultant for Hay Group UK for 6 years before moving to the Middle East to develop the Leadership and Talent business in early 2007. His core expertise lies in the fields of executive effectiveness and organisational transformation. During his time in the UK, Mark was the Project Director for one of Hay Group’s largest global projects and led major projects with clients such as BP, Microsoft and Vodafone.

During his tenure in the Middle East, Mark has held the roles of Director of Leadership and Talent and Director of Consulting Services and his current role of Director of Expertise. In each of these roles he has focused on expanding Hay Group’s business in the region, and has worked with clients such as du, Commercial Bank of Dubai, DP World, RasGas and Qatar Foundation.

Mark has a BSc in Psychology from the University of Lancaster, a Post Graduate Diploma in HR Management and he is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development. Prior to joining Hay Group, he was Head of Assessment for a large recruitment and consultancy firm in the UK.


vijayVijay Gandhi, Director of Productized Services, Middle East
Vijay leads the Productized Services unit and plays a key role to develop and grow the largest pay and benefits database in the Middle East and North Africa region. He manages RIS business in Greece, Turkey and Africa. A regular speaker at events and in the media in the gulf, he has a wealth of expertise in the fields of reward in the Middle East Vijay helps organisations untangle increasingly complex compensation information and design superior reward systems and processes that improve employee and business performance.

Prior to working at Hay Group, he worked in Financial Services sector and HR Consulting arena with a wide range of clients ranging from government ministries to Fortune 500 companies in the USA. He has an MBA in Human Resources from University of Durham (United Kingdom) and BBA in Finance & International Business from University of Wisconsin – Madison (USA).


Chris ShennanChris Shennan, Director of Consulting, Middle East
Chris is a global partner who moved from Hay Group’s London office to Dubai in 2010. He is Director of Consulting for Hay Group Middle East and also acts as the global lead for the oil and gas sector. His consultancy career has involved work in Japan, Europe, US and the Middle East. He has worked in both the public and private sectors with the common theme of raising individual and organisational effectiveness through his expertise in leadership and talent, coaching, reward and performance management .

As well as managing Hay Group’s consulting teams, Chris works extensively with major oil and gas clients, both international oil majors and nationally owned companies in Asia and the Middle East. He also acts as global account manager for DP (Dubai)World and Shell.

Prior to joining Hay Group in 1998, Chris worked for Shell UK in a number of marketing roles and Roland Berger strategy consultants where he developed new market approaches and business process restructuring across a range of different sectors. Chris has a BA in History from Cambridge University.
