The main reasons we have cookies on Hay Group sites are to:
- Remember your choice: the acceptance cookie

Some Hay Group sites allow users to login and require a cookie to retrieve personal information and account details. It also remembers that you logged in so you can browse multiple pages and do things like download content without being asked for your log in details each time.
- Save your preferences: the shopping cookie
Similar to the log in cookie but also remembers a visitor’s language and currency preference and the items added to the shopping cart.
- Enable social sharing: the social media cookie
These preference cookies collect information about social media usage.
- Provide data for improving our websites: the Google Analytics cookie
Hay Group uses Google Analytics to collect top level information about how people use its sites. Google analytics provides the information we need to improve the user experience and serve up the content our visitors find most useful. The Google Analytics cookies store information about what pages people visit, how long they are on the site, how they got there and what they click on.
Information supplied by Google Analytics helps Hay Group analyse site traffic to identify areas to improve in order to provide our visitors with a better experience.
Analytics cookies do not collect or store users’ personal information (for example, names or addresses), so this information cannot be used to identify individuals. For an overview of privacy at Google click here.
